Course Introduction for Power Devices and Circuits
The material for this course is copyrighted by the author and is stored

name and password from bobalden.com by following the registration process
and making payment. You are licenced to make only one copy of the material
which is to be for your own personal use.
There are six blocks of work (please see the course description for more
details):
- "I" introduction, (3 lects, 1 tut)
- "D" dc machines and solid-state drives, (5 lects, 2 tuts)
- "A" ac circuits (1 & 3 phase), (2 lects, 2 tuts)
- "T" ,transformers (4 lects, 2 tuts)
- "M" three-phase machines, (6 lects, 2 tuts)
- "S" single-phase motors, (2 lects, 1 tut)
This is a relatively simple overview course and generally follows the
sequence of the text book - except that dc machines are covered earlier
in this course (than in the text book) - it is assumed that students
have a basic knowledge of simple dc circuit concepts. Ac circuits are
covered briefly with these concepts being reinforced during the following
transformer and ac machines material.
I recommend strongly that you buy and study the recommended sections
of the course text book - the notes have been written as a guide to
learning from the book.
