An Overview of this Site
- The Home Page is designed to guide you directly to the major portions of this
web site:
- Electric Power Engineering - where I, as a professor for 30
years, have placed the four courses I have taught on the web for use by
both students and teachers. I have also included many links that I have
found useful in my career of teaching students, conducting research,
consulting, and being a volunteer in the major worldwide technical
society of my profession.
- The Internet - whose existance I discovered in 1987, when it
was not generally known or used, and was much less user friendly. I
began my current interest of making it useful to individuals and
companies. I have included a large number of links (for use by myself
and anyone else who finds them useful or interesting), sample web sites
that I have created, and a lot of information to help others build their
own sites, or update an existing one. The column I write appears on the
web and is mailed to over 350 thousand engineers who live and work in
some 130 countries around the world.
- The Private Directory is for family members and close friends
(accessible by entering a logon name and password). There are also
public directories with other interests.
- Web Techniques As you browse this site, you will find examples
of different display formats as well as many techniques used in well designed web
sites - not a lot of large graphics but content - well placed and
effectively presented. Your comments are always welcome.
